Mehanaokalā Hind is back in the kitchen this week with a simple recipe you can all prepare. Ive been lucky enough to know this multi-talented kumu hula and cultural practitioner for more than 10 years. . Mehana descends from the hula lineage of Kumu Hula Leina'ala Kalama Heine, earning her own rank of Kumu Hula in 2009. We are honored to have Mehana in the kitchen with us today sharing her recipe for a steamed veggie snack.
Instructions
- Cut broccoli stalk, carrot, and eggplant into cubes
- Steam broccoli stalk, carrot, and eggplant
- Cut beets in half, then into quarters
- Add beets to the rest of vegetables in steamer towards the end
